    A big “BOO” for girdling the Birch Tree at 1:04. Oddly, that act totally redefines how I view this project.

    The bark was cut and peeled above the xylem, a centuries old birch bushcraft technique. This birch basket workshop was led by the North House Folk School, one of the most revered school’s of it’s kind in the world.

    I didn’t know it was possible to remove bark without damaging the tree, but should have investigated before speaking out. Sorry for the sharp comment.
