Winter Survival Camp, 1978

“This is a scan of a slide that I took while on an outdoor survival camp in February of 1978 up north of Thunder Bay, Ontario. It was -30°C on our camp out night…We slept in quinzhees.” *

I guess at that temperature (-22°F), all you can do is think warm thoughts…

Dude, slept in a Quinzhee last year, Great stuff, it was -25*C outside and inside it must have been 0*C, super cozy though, like too small of a quinhzee cozy. I was in the middle and two people sleeping towards me, with their gross breath in my face no matter where I turned!!! Yum! But none the less what a great experience!
