That is one of my favorite books. I keep it close to my two gargantuan monitors, that give me an LCD tan on the daily, to remind me that there is so much more to life.
It also reminds of a great quote by Yvon Chouinard “At both ends of the social spectrum there lives a leisure class.” – Not the exact quote but close…
This really is a phenomenal book. Picture three kills me- Chouinard has the exact same build and posture now. Makes me want to chuck everything and head to camp 4. At least to hear the stories….
This is amazing photography. I just visited Yosemite, so I’m feeling jealous of this less touristic time of the 60′s.
