Tom Thomson, Campfire, 1916
I wonder, do Americans know of Tom Thomson? I’d say he’s the best known Canadian artist. He drowned in 1917.
Lovely stuff & a certain mystique to this man … the Group of Seven & Emily Carr also mine a similar wild, rugged artistic vein, worth a look-see too …
This so wonderful. Innocent and real. It really gives me pause. I have not seen his work before. Thanks for posting.
