I can only imagine what this place looked like before the Europeans came…Its actually pretty easy to do. Because much of this park is unchanged (sans the one road that winds its way through the valley and up the pass, the continously depreciating glaciers packs, the lack of the plentiful bison herds, and the traditions of the traditional peoples) that it doesn’t take a creative imagination.
It must have been sincerely breathtaking. And somehow it still is.
Go an see this place before its called “Glacierless National Park.”
